Yesterday, Claire celebrated her 1st birthday at the studio! She has been coming to me since her newborn session and I can safely say I have never photographed a little girl with more crisp, blue eyes than Claire. She is an absolute beauty. I just love the mix of serious stares and "cheese" faces. I have also loved watching her parents interact and love on her. She is such a sweet girl. Enjoy your sneak peek!
Sweet Charlie is turning 1! It's hard to believe an entire year has past since he slept in my wagon at his newborn session. He is so full of happiness and personality that I found myself smiling the whole time we were together. He loved his cake, toe tapping to his jam and playing peek-a-boo with Mommy. I loved spending my morning with such a sweet little man. Happy Birthday Charlie!
Meet Claire. She came to the studio at 3 days new!!! I know...the youngest baby I have ever photographed outside of the hospital. She was such a cutie and I am pretty sure she stayed asleep the entire 2 hours she was at the house. We did a few outfit and accessory switches and then spent the rest of our time outside. I love outdoor newborn shots and her little set reminds me of a nursery rhyme. It was wonderful spending my morning with this sweet family. I hope they have a smooth transition as a family of 4 and cherish this time with their littles. Enjoy this peek into their gallery!
Newborn. Twin. Girls. How fun is that! Madison and Olivia were the first newborn twins I had ever photographed. I was so nervous for their session. I had been studying master photographers photos, watching videos online and saying a prayer...or 5 leading up to their session, Thankfully the girls were great (minus what they did to Dad's shirt), their parents were awesome and we were able to get some beautiful photos.
I hope these sweet girls always have a strong bond, are the best of friends and bring their parents more joy than they thought possible!
The rain and random freezing weather we had a few weeks ago weren't going to stop us from getting in Evelyn's 6 month session. We squeezed it in on the last day and I am so glad we did! Some of the Mommy and Me images we captured are so sweet. I wish I had photos like this with my girls when they were that small.
This little one has been a beauty since birth! Her smile and sparkling eyes are captivating. She is such a curious little one. I had fun watching her explore and interact with her parents during our session.
Tomorrow she will be back on the blog trying to win a free Christmas mini! Don't forget to check back and vote for her!
So apparently it has been over 2 months since I blogged! During that time my family bought a house, sold a house, moved in to the new house and started settling in. Of course I have also spent lots of time with amazing families, super cute kiddos and adorable newbies.
The Staniszewski family is who I have most recently spent my time with. I love getting to know them a little better each time we meet. I love celebrating their special milestones and am thankful they've picked me to capture the time they have with small children. It goes so fast... The parent club is a great one to be a part of!
When I sat down to blog about beautiful baby Nora I was planning a wonderfully long and heartfelt post about how she came to be a part of Monica and Joel's family. However, as I began to write and rewrite I realized it isn't really my story to tell. I just wouldn't do it justice.
But, what I can share is that Monica, the Mommy in these photos, is a very dear friend of mine and pretty much the reason LoveBug Photography exists. God plopped her in back in Ohio at exactly the right time in my life. At one point she even told me she wouldn't be my friend if I didn't start LoveBug. I am so glad I did, because I am tremendously blessed by her friendship and encouragement. I am thankful for the confidence she had in me when I had none. I only hope I am able to give back to her the ways she has given to me.
I think that hope is one of the very reasons I was so incredibly nervous to take these photos. Of course the fact that Nora was about 6 weeks old in these photos was unnerving. Babies at that age don't sleep nearly as much nor do they like to be moved around. But that's just a side note. The real issue was that Monica is a very skilled photographer. She could have easily taken pictures of her little one, but instead she left Indiana and came to me. Thankfully our time together was wonderful. We got to catch up on life, capture Nora in the stages she was in and even got some of the sleepy newborn poses under the amazing canopy I got just for her!
Love you Boerckel family!
